Robin has worked with children, teens and parents for more than 15 years. She started her career working with adoptive families in crisis with the Department of Social Services. Over the past decade Robin has worked as an autism therapist, school counselor and trauma specialist. She specializes in trauma, adoption/foster care related concerns, sexual abuse, autism, anxiety and depression. Her education consists of a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina, a Masters of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University and is currently working towards her Doctorate degree in Community Mental Health and Traumatology from Liberty University. She is a licensed professional counselor associate, certified adoption investigator, and certified trauma specialist.
As a counselor, Robin uses many different approaches and techniques to meet the needs of her clients. There is no "one size fits all" in her approach. She is known for her compassion, outside the box thinking, her ability to connect with others and her non-judgmental approach. Robin offers Christian based counseling by request. She has a wide base of experiences and has worked with clients with a variety of concerns. Robin also likes to work with adoptive parents, foster parents, and special needs parents to provide support and guidance through tough parenting decisions. Her personal and professional experiences give her a unique insight that helps families navigate through difficult situations.
