About William L. Mulkey
Guiding you gently through life's challenges with care and understanding in Greenville, SC.
William (“Bill”) offers a relaxed, down-to-earth counseling experience rooted in warmth, acceptance, and a nonjudgmental approach. With more than 20 years in the mental health field, he practices as an Integrative Psychotherapist—drawing from multiple evidence-informed approaches and tailoring therapy to each person’s needs, goals, and pace. His hope is that you feel genuinely heard and supported as you build insight, skills, and a steadier sense of well-being.
In addition to his clinical work, Bill has spent the past decade in leadership and administrative roles within behavioral health organizations, where he has supported teams and mentored developing clinicians. He believes therapy works best when it feels safe, respectful, and collaborative—with clear goals and room for your full humanity. As Bill puts it, “I consider it a privilege to work with others and to be a possible catalyst for positive change in their lives.”
Bill lives in the Upstate with his wife, Carmen. He is a retired United States Marine Corps veteran and has also served in local fire departments—experiences that deepened his respect for the unique stresses carried by veterans, service members, and first responders (and the families who support them). He is proud to give back through organizations and causes that serve these communities.
